Hello, everyone! I am Shuvro Chowdhury. I am an assistant professor
in the department of Electrical and
Electronic Engineering (EEE) of
Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). Currently, I am on a study leave to pursue my Ph.D. degree in Purdue University, IN, USA.
BUET is the most renowned academic institution in Bangladesh. I have
obtained my M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees (in Electrical & Electronic Engineering)
from the same department. This site has been designed to explore myself to
the viewers.

I am a researcher in the field of electronics. My research interest
(for more details visit here) includes
analysis, modelling and simulation of nanoscale electronic devices. My
undergraduate thesis was on the performance analysis of
Silicon-On-Insulator (SOI) and Double-Gate
(DG) MOSFET with high-κ gate stack. For my master's thesis, I developed
an anlytical drain current model for junctionless double-gate (JL DG) MOSFETs
with gradual channel depletion approximation. I am also interested in
Quantum Computation specially in designing novel quantum circuits. I also work
on designing embedded systems based on microcontrollers. I usually offer courses
on electrical properties of materials, electronics, electrical and
electronic technology, control systems, microprocessor and interfacing in BUET.
I spend my leisure usually by reading history and novels. I love music
and watching movies and TV shows. I also play different indoor and outdoor
games specially volleyball and table tennis. I also love hanging out with friends
and family.
Besides these, I am an active member of Institute of Electrical and
Electronics Engineers (IEEE). I am the vice chair of GOLD Affinity Group,
IEEE Bangladesh Section and secretary of IEEE Electron Devices and
Solid-State Circuits Society, Bangladesh Chapter. I actively organize and
participate in different seminars, workshops and conferences.
